The 2019 Ford Mustang is a more advanced version of the icon that has zoomed down American highways for many decades. Available in coupe and convertibles, you can get the Mustang EcoBoost, Ecoboost Premium, Mustang GT, GT Premium, or Shelby GT350 trims. There’s also a special fastback coupe known as the Bullit.

First, let’s talk speed. The entry level Mustang is no shrinking violet. The Ecoboost engine kicks out 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. If that’s not fast enough, the GT engine generates 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Ford tweaks that engine to allow the Bullit to claim 480 horsepower at a lower rpm. Topping all of them, the Shelby GT350 cranks horsepower up to 526.

Next up, let’s look at customized road response. The manual transmission has a special rev matching feature help the driver achieve precision shifts. If you prefer the automatic, this 10-speed transmission offers five selectable modes. You might expect normal and sport. In bad weather, you’ll appreciate the snow and wet setting. When it comes time for fun, Ford provides both a track setting and a drag strip setting.

Still not satisfied? Ford has you covered. The available drag mode has line lock and launch control. That let’s you do more with every horse you’ve got. Perhaps your idea of fun is to know every statistic, just so you can beat it the next time. Your track apps include an accelerometer, an acceleration timer, brake performance, and a lap timer.

If sound is an essential part of your muscle car experience, there’s also an active valve performance exhaust. This quad-pipe system has four settings, allowing you to turn it down when you are slipping home after a late night.

Next, let’s talk about good looks. The Mustang has always been a sharp dresser. This year’s piece of eye candy comes in a variety of racy color choices. The sleek hood has special vents to improve operation. A performance rear wing adds another aerodynamic touch.

Ford crafts a high-tech cockpit that makes you comfortable and keeps you informed. Behind the steering wheel, the dash can wear a 12-inch LCD instrumentation screen. There’s also a Sync screen with Bluetooth streaming audio. Leather upholstery can be trimmed in Highland Green stitching in the throwback Bullit. Recaro chairs are offered with power-ventilation and power heat functions.

The 360 CoPilot system is on the menu, too. You can have help to watch your blind spot, to monitor your lane, and to react to forward collision dangers. The system includes pedestrian warnings, automatic emergency braking, and brake support.

So it comes down to which Mustang is right for you. That’s a personal choice. You can see them all at our dealership. You may want a demonstration of how the dash technologies and safety technologies can serve you.

If you have a busy schedule, don’t sweat it. You can make an appointment online, we will have the Mustang of your choice waiting for your inspection.
